Background Design
With Art Direction and Layouts by Asa, both her and Laura Pires divided their work in the Pre-Production stage with the background designs, bringing out the textures, color palette, the feel of magic, a play on light and shadow, and spiral patterns, all of it was exported, layer by layer, in order to be later animated in After Effects.
Character Design
Character Design, developed by Laura Pires under the Artistic Direction of Asa, brought out the androgynous, hair-flowing, black-filled eyed character to our screen, as well as their defining color palette and flight sketches.
The character remains almost emotional-less throughout the short-film, but in the emotion test sheet you can have a glimpse on how their expressions would look!
Asset Design
The asset designs, created by Laura under the Art Direction of Asa, incorporated the spirals in the world building — with a glimpse of how this universe's version of Earth looks like, in a scraped shot of her trip to the moon.
